190. Jackson and Suzanne.....

I got to hang out with Jackson and Suzanne today. We had been wanting to get Jackson's 18 month picture for a long time and finally we were able to get together. I had such a great time with you today and I have to say that Jackson is just so handsome and he has the perfect smile and hair..(can I say he has perfect hair even if he is a boy? ). Anyway, here is some I edited that I like. Hope you like them.

189. Emme.....

I got to hang out with Emme and Kristie today. Emme is just getting so big. I can't believe that she's over 6 month old now. I feel like it was just a little while ago since I saw her in the hospital. She is so unbelievable cute with her long hair and big eyes.

I just have to try them on from time to time. Do they fit this time? Nope, still a little to big. Maybe next time.

Sofia loves to wear hats. She didn't care that was 85 degrees today. She still wanted to wear it. I do think it makes her look so cute though.

185. Bubbles....

Sofia and I played with bubbles when we got home from work today. It''s been raining for days so it was nice to be outside again.
This is how Sofia looked when she first got outside. Kind of skeptical to the whole idea.

Ops, I spilled some and I need to wipe it up.

184. Important phone call....

From daddy. I love when he calls me and I get sooo mad when mamma takes the phone away from me. I wish mamma would let me talk on the phone more often.

Sofia found her swimming goggles in the bottom of her toy box today and since she hadn't played with them for a while she decide to wear them while watching TV. Look how intensely she's looking at the tv. (I hate that the book is open, facing upwards, in the background right under her chin. I should have removed that.)

Actually she's not. She's just copying me. I was laying down trying to get a picture of her sitting up. When she noticed me she decided to get lay down too so she could be just like me. She is seriously copying our every moves these days. We got to watch out!!

Flowers....

I got a surprise when I got home from work today....my favorite flowers were standing on the door step. They were from Kristie and Jason and they were beautiful!!! Look at them. On the back there were other colors of Gerbera Daisey, but I couldn't get a picture of that because Sofia constantly came over to look at them and one or more of her body parts probably were in 5 pictures. This one was the only one with out her. Thank you Kristie!! I love them!!

178. Profile......

Should have made sure both eyes were in focus, but at f2.8 that's hard for me because the eyes weren't on the same plane. Maybe next time.....

Hurt finger......

Sofia's finger got while playing outside. This is what she did.... I think it worked.

177. My back....

I really didn't get good pictures today. She wanted to sit in my lap the whole time and she would not move one bit for me to get a picture of her. This was the best I got and it's not good. Well, sometimes I just can't get it!!!

176. Bribery....

Just to let you know, sometimes there is bribery involved. Here's a good example. She only sat still for as long as she got snacks....
(This is from yesterday. I didn't take one today since we were gone for a big part of the day and I didn't have my camera with me).

175. New dress.....

Sofia and I got gifts today from Rebecca which we LOVED!!!! (Thank you Rebecca!!!!)I decided to take Sofia outside to get her picture taken for the day in her new dress. It is soooo cute and I love bright colors on her. My husband always laugh at me because when Sofia or I get something new we wear it immediately while he waits for a special occasion. I don't understand the whole waiting thing...what's the point when I can look good now...what am I waiting on? Anyway, here she is. Don't she look cute?


She actually stood still for this picture. That's improvement!!

174. Lighting.....

I was reading about photography today and the topics came up about the importance of lighting--and how to not have flat lighting---and what's your photography style... Since I'm new I'm definitely struggling with both the questions. As far as my style--I know I like modern, clean, not posed, emotions for sure-then some days I like light and airy, the next I like dark any moody--the rest of it I'm still figuring out. I guess I am currently all over the place until I find my style. ...
Lighting--if you know anything about photography it's all about the light. Everyone is struggling to find the light and not having flat light. Unfortunately I'm still one of those struggling with finding out what really good light looks like. I expose right most of the time, but I still seem to get flat light often. I am now going to start working out finding better light!!!!

Here is some shots from today. Maybe flat, but not as bad as in the past... High iso so a little noise.. good exposure (I think). Any thoughts? hand chop--hate it..in camera so it can't be changed. Big hair--LOVE IT!!!!

173. Hannah.....and Eli......

I got to hang out with Hannah this evening. I have been bugging her since she was probably 5 months pregnant that I really wanted to practice on her (and Eli when he gets her). Now she's only got 2 weeks left and i can't believe how amazing she looks!!! It was my first time taking maternity pictures and I really loved getting the practice. I hope you like them.

Here's Hannah. I kind of realized that I was into a darker processing that I normally do today. I thought it fit since they are taken downtown.
I don't know why, but I just love this one of her.

I can't believe how little she is with only 2 weeks to go!!!!

First I was unsure if I was going to like the uneven light in this one, but now I think it makes it better because of that.
I have to include some in color as well.
We were lucky to find these pots there. I think that there lived some people on the top floor of this building and hopefully it was ok that we borrowed their trees for a second.

172. Color pop....

The weather was really bad this afternoon and Sofia had a seriously runny nose and no pictures were taken. I therefore had to post one more from this past weekend.

She just loves to show of her stomach...hopefully this will stop long before she's a teenager:)

171. Emotions....

I love pictures like this of her. She's fighting a cold right now so she's not feeling her best and I think it describes how she feel at this time. Not a perfect picture but it's perfect to me since I have my mommy goggles on:)
