221.Trick or treat.....

Here's Sofia in her Halloween costume. She's a bee but most people thought she was a fairy. She was so cute and she really liked going from house to house. There were so many kids out and she kept looking at all the costumes. She had her first piece of candy to day too...a lollipop...and she really loved it. She was not as serious as she looked here, but this is how she gets as soon as she sees the camera. I need to dress her up tomorrow while it's day light and get a picture of her with real light without the hat. We needed that hat though because it was a little cold. She also has 4 shirts on to keep warm.

But here is one of Sofia from Sunday. Sofia is not feeling good for the moment so I don't want to bother her with pictures so I'm stuck digging up some that I don't like that hasn't been deleted of my computer yet. She just become so serious the second she see the camera.

Can truly be beautiful. This picture is old (I didn't take any today..didn't have time)---from april 27, 2009. Technically not a great picture....no connection between Sofia and I, didn't understand the whole back lighting metering thing (I still need work on it), her placement in the picture and so on..., but the lighting is really good. This is just a field of weeds, but don't it look great right before sunset? Just an example how lighting can make anything look amazing.

Of the crazy hair since I didn't take any pictures today. This was around 5pm so you can see it gets wilder and wilder as the day went on. She also got to wear her PJ's all day long...now that's a relaxing Sunday.

Morning hair like this? She has the wildest hair I have ever seen when she wakes up. It makes me smile every morning. As you can see we do have some work to do before we leave the house.

This is just another shot I loved of Eli. It was such a great experience taking his picture and I really hope I can find someone else that need newborn pictures soon so I can get more practice. Too bad newborns don't grow on trees:)

202. Eli is finally here.....

I have been waiting on Eli to be born for a while now. A few weeks ago I took some pictures of his mommy, Hannah, which are on the blog. I was also begging her to let me take some picture of him the whole time while she was pregnant:) He was born 10/1/09 at 9 pounds 10 ounces and 22 inches long. Not exactly tiny.... Today I got to go and meet him. He's only 11 days old, but sooo cute. I got baby fever for a moment until I reminded myself of the cost of daycare and then it disappeared.
Thank you so much for letting me come over and do whatever I wanted to with him. I owe you big time!!!

Anyway, here he is. (I don't have a macro lens so this is as close as I could get him).

I'm celebrating that I have made it for 200 days and that my boss just told me that I will continue to be a 10 month employee. Jeg er kjempe glad for at jeg fremdeles far fri om sommeren!!!! Na er jeg klar for at mamma og pappa kommer pa besok.
For the ones that does not know me that well...champagne is my favorite drink...it's actually well worth the calories:)

Sofia wanted to draw when she got home today. The weather was bad so we had to be inside for the rest of the evening. Notice the sock on her hand. She refused to take them off.

At the Sweet shop......

I got to go and get some cookies yesterday and I got to sit on the bar chairs alone for the first time. Mamma said I needed to hold on tight and I did.

Grass? Daddy cut the grass recently so I went and picked up some of it.
I like the side lighting--it gives her hair a warm glow.

I look innocent here, but I'm not. I'm actually trying to put something I found on the ground in my mouth. Then mamma yelled at me...not fun!!

This is why I love photography....

This is not a perfect picture by no means, can't see Suzanne's face, can see the cars on the road, might have been better if her feet was included in the picture and probably a lot of other things, but I love this picture for the connection. Look at his face when she's tickling him upside down....that's what makes this great to me. You can see how happy she makes him and getting a picture of that is just perfect. I guess my point it...never stop taking snapshots!!!! Pictures don't have to be great all the time and everyone can take pictures like this. This is what makes me happy. I love to get pictures like this of Maurice, Sofia and I.
