346. Edited vs sooc.....

I get a lot of question about processing...do I do a lot of editing to my pictures. My answer is always....I try and do as little as possible because I'm not that good at post processing. I also do clean/minimal processing to most of my pictures, but there are some instances where I do more editing than others, but I try not to:) I also look for lighting situations that require little editing:)

I decided to give some examples of how a sooc picture (sooc=straight out of camera) very often looks like for me....I shoot raw and not jpeg so some editing is required. Here is some from today.

Here is my edited and cropped version...I like the lighting here, but obviously my child didn't want to get her picture taken and I don't shoot from above her very often because I tend to not like that angle as much:)

There is the sooc version without anything done.

Here's my edited and cropped picture of my child when she's cooperating and giving me eye contact:)

Here is my sooc picture. Her face is a little underexposed on purpose so her dress wouldn't have few blown spots, but I knew I could brighten her up very easily with just a little editing.

345. Serious bw....

You know she's kind of a serious girl so here's just one more that proves that.

344. Ring around the roses....

This is one of Sofia's favorite things to play. She could do it all day long and luckily for her the other kids wanted to play with her. (Not a great picture, but I like it because it shows something she really loves to play).

343. Sun glasses....

These are from the other day and I just like them so I have to share. Look how serious she gets while she has them on and how funny she thinks it is when she has them off. She cracks me up:)

342. Picture....

I just got my picture taken by Sofia...she got my face in 1 out of 15 pictures she took:)

341. Backlighting....

I love backlighting in late afternoon light. I took Sofia outside today and all she wants to do is to play with bubbles. She loooves to do it!!! It's also beginning to be green around here in certain places and I had to take advantage of that. Anyway here's some pictures from today.
(Oh, I know I missed several days and I did take some pictures, but it;s too late to post them now. I just got to do it another day:)
