530. Halloween....

We definitely celebrated Halloween yesterday and it was so much fun to see how excited Sofia was. She is such an awesome trick or treater and went to a million houses last night. She was in heaven:) She was a Minni Mouse cheerleader and picked out her own costume over a month go...and yes, we have tried it on so many times while waiting for the big day:) Henry, Jake and Mia came over to be with us too.

I also got to say that I have no clue what I am doing while shooting on paper....none what so ever:) I never use it and I really don't know why I have two rolls of paper home...such a waste. At least I got to use it today. the picture were taken at different times during the afternoon so the light is kind of different. I'm choosing to over look that. Also, I didn't realize that there pretty much is no editing needed when shooting on paper....wow, that made everything so fast and easy.

I really should even out the background a little in the next two pictures...it looks pretty bad, but I just don't feel like it. This is how the background looked sooc.

Henry was cracking me up. He did not want to have his paper taken unless he got a sucker. This is how he looked at first, then....

We went outside for a few pictures this evening and it was beautiful out. The light was warm and the temperature was just perfect. The model did a great job as well:)

Bubbles this year. It's still one of her favorite things to do. Unfortunately the day this one was taken it was sooooo windy out that she hardly was able to blow any. She got so frustrated.

Ok, I got to admit that I'm the worst vacation photographer there is. I hardly take any pictures...I don't look for interesting things...I seriously just click away. My vacation pictures never look good...never:) Half the time I don't even have my camera. Anyway, I don't know why I didn't post these before. I somehow thought I did, but then when I looked for them today I didn't see them on the blog so I decided to post a few from when my parents visited us this summer and when we went on a cruise with them. It was an awesome vacation I can't wait to see them this summer!!!!

Sofia got her first haircut the other day and it's so much shorter now. We probably cut of 5 inches in the back and evened it out. She wants to wear it down all the time so now that it's shorter it will be easier to manage....or at least I hope so. It's still big hair...but yet sooo cute.

She was a commercial model this weekend for a awesome designer and a fantastic photographer and they asked to have her toes painted pink before she came. She was sooo excited about it. She was talking about it all last week at school and showed everyone her toes today. This little girl loves pink:)

From Christmas. I only took a few pictures while Maurice worked on setting up her tag book pen and vreader. She wanted to show some of the stuff she had gotten. She had really wanted a baby doll and she was so excited that the dress up clothes had a necklace and bracelet and a golden head piece. You can see she's wearing them for her pictures. She was super excited when she woke up and saw that Santa had been there. While opening up gifts she kept saying "Santa really like me"...she was so cute. I do have to say that she got waaaay to much stuff and soon Maurice and I got to move out just to fit all her junk:)

She just had to give her "baby " a kiss while trying on one of her dress up dresses.

We made cookies the day before Christmas (pa julaften i Norge). Sofia loved every minute of it. She would not stop decorating and she squeezed all the icing without any help. She ate waaaay to many m&m's but that's what baking is all about.

Face paint.
Sofia got a stocking full of little toys, coloring sheets and candy from her teachers. She loved h opening it up and looking at all the things she got. She also went on her first field trips and got her face painted as one of the activities. Her favorite thing was to ride the school bus all by herself...she wouldn't stop talking abort it.

They lit our neighborhood Christmas tree on Friday and I feel like the holidays are really here now. I actually feel like December is flying by and I can't believe it's already December 5th.

I love our neighborhood!! They truly go all out when they do stuff for us. Sofia loves to ride carousels so she was so excited when they had one.
This picture is shot at iso 5000, ss 1/50 and f1.8. The focus is on Maurice in this one and I took it while they were going past me. If you know anything about photography you got to be impressed by a picture looking this good at those settings. It's really dark out:)

I had Maurice come with me for about 15 minutes on Friday to test out some lighting and to take some pictures of Sofia and I. I'm just one of those people that don't love to be in pictures and I'm never feeling ready for them. I have realized that if I keep waiting to the day I'm ready for them I'm going to be waiting forever:) Even though my hair is dirty, I need highlights done, I have no makeup on, it's kind of a bad angle for my a$$ in one of them I still love these. I ended up with so many of us that I love and I will share them, but I'm holding on to them for a little bit in case my Christmas card picture doesn't work out next Saturday and i will have to use some of these for that. Yesterday I realized how much I forget about the things Sofia say and it makes me kind of sad. She told Maurice her first made up joke a month or so ago and it was not funny, but she laughed so hard herself. It was so cute, but now I can't remember it any more...it's kind of sad. I decided that I'm going to write down our conversation while I take her picture so at least I will not forget those. She still speak in short sentences so it's not much to write.

Me: can I take a picture of you?
Sofia: Emmm, no.
Me: What about the monkey...can I take a picture of it? (She got to wear her pj's to daycare today because of Halloween).
Sofia: Emmmmmmmmm, sure.

Sofia went to a birthday party this weekend and she got her face painted by some awesome face painters. First she didn't want to do it, but after getting it done she was soooo proud and would not stop talking about it. This picture is taken that evening after some wild playing...look at the messy hair...and some crying after falling and busting her lip. It still was holding up:)

We went to a fall festival on Sunday with friends and it was so fun. The girls love each other and they always have so much fun together.

At 5:30 pm if was cold enough that I had to wear a hat. It's crazy how fast the weather can change here.
Anyway, Sofia is feeling better and was able to return to daycare today...she was sooo tired and grumpy this morning and it was a horrible morning at our house, but ended up having a good day.

I took these of Sofia the other day and i will be sharing more from this session later this week since I'm not sure if I will have time to take pictures. She's just so cute in these and I'm amazed how much more grown up she has gotten in the past few months. She's seriously changing day by day. I love being a mom to such a big girl:)
She's been sick, but we went to the doctor fist thing this morning and got some meds for an ear infection. She will return to daycare tomorrow unless she gets a fever over night again.

I actually love this picture of her. It's such a fun expression.

We took Sofia out for a bike ride this morning and it was beautiful out. Doesn't she look cute in her new skinny jeans? I think so:)
She woke up from her nap crying saying her ear is hurting...maybe she's not getting better. I really hope it's not an ear infection. We gave her some Tylenol and I hope she will feel better soon.

Sofia was feeling good again today. She didn't have any fever, but her nose is still kind of runny. It has gotten really sore from all the blowing she has done this week and I hate that. She's not complaining and has been in a great mood. We actually did several errands and stopped to get some ice cream and pizza for dinner. Her is just some snaps.
